We’re looking for a Freelance Content Developer to support our in-house team in creating digital content for our clients.
Who we are
Oxford Digital is a team of diverse commercial, creative and technical professionals passionate about helping our clients use digital technology to grow sustainably and inclusively.
Our media brand – The Oxford Magazine – is an online magazine curated for people who live, work or play in Oxford or across Oxfordshire – whether they’re locals, new in town, or just passing through.
You can read more about The Oxford Magazine here.
From simple listings to multi-faceted editorial sponsorships, The Oxford Magazine offers the perfect environment for advertisers to reach people based in, or with a connection to, Oxford and Oxfordshire.
But as you can imagine, not all our advertisers are well-equipped to develop quality digital content that can engage and excite our growing local audience.
And that’s where you’ll come in.
What you’ll do
In a nutshell, you’ll be called upon on an ad-hoc basis to help our advertisers craft highly engaging content for distribution on our digital publishing platforms.
From articles to photography and videography, the digital content will be used across all our digital channels, helping our advertisers to increase engagement with our audiences of people who live, work or play in Oxford and across Oxfordshire.
Furthermore, you may also be invited to propose, plan, coordinate and/or produce a curated programme of digital advertising content across multiple clients.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking to work with local individuals with the flair for developing creative ideas, suggesting new innovative ways of delivering digital content and tapping into the latest digital marketing trends.
Ideally, you’ll be based in Oxfordshire. We’re a hyper-local magazine. Like 75% of our audience, most of our advertisers are based in Oxford and across Oxfordshire. We believe this local-first approach to be one of our most valuable assets.
Digital PR, SEO, social outreach and link-building skillsets are a bonus. So is a degree in English, Journalism or a relevant field.
How to apply
If you’re interested, email your details to us at hello@oxforddigital.co.uk. Be sure to include samples of your work, either as a portfolio or links to published content, along with your rates.
