Digital Content Management Assistant

Do you have an eye for detail and enjoy working in a creative digital environment? We want you on our team.

Who we are

Oxford Digital is the team behind The Oxford Magazine, a fast-growing online platform with over two million page views annually. Our mission is to showcase the best of Oxford and Oxfordshire in the UK, from events and restaurants to local businesses and lifestyle features.

As our digital presence grows, we’re looking for a Digital Content Management Assistant to help manage and publish our content with accuracy, style, and efficiency, as part of our offshore content management team responsible for remotely keeping our website updated and polished.

What you’ll do

As a Digital Content Management Assistant, your role will include:

  • Preparing website content: resizing images, formatting text, and ensuring copy meets style guidelines.
  • Publishing articles: adding new features, reviews, interviews, and listings to our website.
  • Creating and maintaining listings across multiple categories: events, directories, venues, recipes, and more.
  • Working with the editorial team to ensure content is consistent, accurate, and engaging.
  • Optimising content and images for SEO – including titles, excerpts, descriptions, meta descriptions, and image alt text.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a great fit if you can demonstrate:

  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to digital content management.
  • Strong written English communication skills for editing and formatting content.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress experience preferred) and basic image editing tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • An interest in culture, events, food, and lifestyle writing/journalism is a bonus.

No formal qualifications are required – practical experience, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn are what matter most.

What we’re offering

In addition to competitive pay, we offer:

  • A flexible role, ideal for someone looking to grow their experience in digital content management.
  • Hands-on experience with a growing online magazine and opportunities to collaborate with a creative team.
  • Opportunity to learn and develop skills in content publishing, SEO, and digital media.
